Steel City Gooners are Officially Recognized as the 83rd Arsenal America Supporters Branch!

Big news, Gooners! Steel City Gooners has officially been named the 83rd official supporters branch of Arsenal America! This is a huge milestone for our growing Pittsburgh supporters club, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this moment with all of you.

What is Arsenal America?

For those unfamiliar, Arsenal America is the official network of Arsenal supporters branches across the United States. Its mission is to connect Gooners from coast to coast, promote the Arsenal way, and create a vibrant community of fans who bleed red and white. Each branch represents a dedicated local group of Arsenal fans who come together on matchdays to cheer on the team, share their love for the club, and grow the Arsenal family.

Being recognized as an official branch means that Steel City Gooners is now an integral part of this network. It also unlocks exciting perks for our group, including priority access to tickets at the Emirates Stadium and a direct connection to Arsenal FC itself.

The Journey to Recognition

Achieving branch status didn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of months of dedication, passion, and a whole lot of early morning alarms.

When we first started, we hopped around several local pubs, trying to find the perfect home for our matchday gatherings. After some trial and error, we landed on Cork Harbour Pub in Lawrenceville, and it quickly became our home base. The warm atmosphere, great drinks, and welcoming vibe made it the perfect spot for Pittsburgh’s Arsenal faithful.

Whether it was braving icy sidewalks during winter matches, setting alarms for 7:30 AM kickoffs, or showing up rain or shine, Steel City Gooners consistently brought the energy to matchdays. These efforts were a big reason why Arsenal America saw us as worthy of official recognition.
